About

Lyndon Ladeur (he/him/his) is a queer, Punjabi-Canadian tenor hailing from Squamish, British Columbia. His favourite performances to-date include Nemorino in Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore, Fadinard in Nino Rota’s Il cappello di paglia di Firenze, and Don Ottavio in Mozart’s Don Giovanni. His concert soloist repertoire consists of Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass, Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy, and Gounod’s Messe solennelle en l’honneur de Sainte-Cécile. Lyndon made his international debut at the 2018 International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival playing Marco in The Gondoliers where he won the award for Best Male Vocalist and was nominated for Best Male Actor. He has participated in several prestigious summer programs, including: COSA Canada, Orford Summer Music Academy, Highlands Opera Studio, Banff Centre of Arts and Creativity, and OperaSparks. Lyndon finished his Bachelors of Music in Vocal Performance at the Vancouver Academy of Music (co-op with Thompson Rivers University Open Learning) in 2022 and completed his Masters of Music in Operatic Performance in 2024 at the University of Toronto. He studies with the Canadian Opera Company’s Head Vocal Consultant, Wendy Nielsen. In September 2024, Lyndon will join Vancouver Opera as a member of the Yulanda M. Faris Young Artist Program, making his mainstage solo debut as Dr. Blint in Johann Strauss II’s Die Fledermaus

Operatic Performer

5+ years of professional operatic performance. Joined the Vancouver Opera Chorus in 2019 with their production of Verdi’s La traviata. Joined the Canadian Opera Company Chorus in 2022 for their production of Wagner’s Der fliegende Holländer. Joining Vancouver Opera again in 2024 as a member of the Yulanda M. Faris Young Artist Program.

Voice Teacher

3 years experience teaching voice to students of all ages at the Squamish Academy of Music.

6+ years of experience in arts administrative roles. 4 years as the assistant librarian and assistant orchestra manager and 1 year as the choral manager at the Vancouver Academy of Music, and 2 years as a teaching assistant for the University of Toronto Opera Division.
